Bad or missing command interpreter - enter the name of
the command interpreter
This error message can occur when the Windows
95/98 or the MS-DOS Command Interpreter (Command.com) is missing or
corrupted.
To restore the Operating System and make the
disk bootable, you can try the following:
1) Boot up the computer using a Win95/98
Startup disk.
2) To copy the Windows 95 system files to the
hard disk from the Windows 95/98 startup disk: type sys c: at the command
prompt: A:\> and press enter.
3) After the files have transferred from the
floppy disk to the hard
disk, remove the floppy disk and reboot.
This may or may not work.
